Unfortunately due to technical difficulties and link confusion our guest was unable to join us this week. Instead the SPRT gang covered beautifully by having a discussion about indie publishing stuff.
Our apologies for not having the expected guest but huge thumbs up to Wade, Robert and Chrishaun for saving the day 🙂
Topics covered:
- Draft2Digital and its new universal book links
- Updates from the SPRT minions
- Our Sci-Fi, Fantasy & Horror promo + giveaway
- Discussion about How to get yourself blacklisted by agents
- Robert talks a bit about reading Wayne Stinnett’s Blue Collar to No Collar: From Trucker to Bestselling Novelist in Two Years
Join us next Thursday 7pm PST / 10pm EST
when we chat with Rosa Swann

Hello internets!
In his book, “Blue Collar…” He mentions the Authors Corner. How did he find that group? What is that group? Searches on google not helpful. Thanks!!

Technical difficulties.
I *finally* get to watch a live show and technical difficulties? Maybe I should go back home… 🙁
Sandy Raven Not really… we have no guest!
Wayne’s here. Apparently there is a tech issue.
DawnMcKenna where?
ChrishaunKellerHanna He says he’s ready to go, web cam on, all alone in the wilderness. OK, I threw in the wilderness part.
DawnMcKenna ChrishaunKellerHanna We sent a link. Has he got the link?
RChazzChute DawnMcKenna ChrishaunKellerHanna He says he’s at the link you gave him. Maybe re-send just in case?

I had a great time with the last promo! So worth it!
kemobullock Thanks!
Missed the news roundup this past weekend.
I’ve read most of Wayne Stinnett’s Blue Collar to No Collar. Solid book. Recommended!
Copying this from Wayne: The link Erica gave me is apparently wrong tell someone to email a good link. wayne@waynestinnett.com
RChazzChute It’s an excellent book for someone who really needs to hear that it’s possible.
DawnMcKenna sent it three times. ?? Tell him we will reschedule
writerwade DawnMcKenna Okeedoke.
DawnMcKenna writerwade Thank you!
I picked it up when his bio popped up for the show this week. Liked it and enjoyed him talking about his life pre and post launch
writerwade DawnMcKenna You’re welcome. I’m sorry to miss this, but I’ll be back when you reschedule.
Kldugan2762 He really put his heart into it. He’s given me a lot of really good advice, and most of it is in there.
Kldugan2762 we were unable to do it and are looking at integrating it into the Thursday line up once a month. We’re just seeing what people’s thoughts are on it. What do you think?
I enjoy the program. I would like to see it expanded even – perhaps including a guest – with regular hosts – expanding on a particular news topic. It would be interesting to have the perspective of someone just starting out versus those with more experience, discussing a topic and how it impacts their business.
BatmanErica Kldugan2762 If doing two shows gets to be too much, maybe take the Thursday show and expand to 1-1/2 hrs, using 45 minutes for the guest, 30 minutes for news and stuff, then 15 minutes for the chit chat about what everyone is doing, and signing off. I really would hate to see either show disappear, but also know the prep before and the time differences (for Erica) can be problematic. Perhaps combining might work to everyone’s benefit.
The way I see it, you’re serving two viewers, the newer Indie author just getting into the business, and the veterans who have been doing this for a few years. For ME, what’s happening currently in the market is a necessity, and I haven’t found that being met elsewhere to the same degree as what Erica, Chrishaun, X, and Zoe cover it. But to the newer Indie author, having guests who are inspirational is also important to give them something to look forward to if they continue to learn and grow as a self-pubbed entrepreneur.
That’s my .02 cents, for all that it’s worth. Keep up the good work, I enjoy the show–even though I can only watch live when I’m stuck in a hotel traveling. Otherwise I’m stuck with crappy satellite internet out on the farm, and watching or (recording for later viewing) during my ‘free’ hours with the ISP.
Good luck guys and ladies!
